This November, participate in a chess festival in Recco, Italy
Dear chess friends,
Our club ASD Scacchi Golfo Paradiso is organizing a chess festival in Recco, Italy from 14th to 16th November with three tournaments, A (≥1800), B (≥1500 to <1900) and C (<1600).
The total prize money is €3500, in Tournament A alone it is €2000. Further information can be found here.

Six months before the competition, nine players have already registered in Tournament A, with an average Elo of 2045. The FIDe titleholders are two IMs with 2400 Elo and a WFM. The link for registration for Tournament A is here.
This is the 18th edition of the festival. In its lifetime, it has seen on the podium both - many young people who have then established themselves (for example, Luca Moroni, Italian Champion in 2017, 2022 and 2023, had won in Recco at 14 years old, in 2014), and very well-known players, such as GM Igor Naumkin, three-time winner.

The territory of our club is the Golfo Paradiso (recalled in our coat of arms), very interesting for the landscapes, the gastronomy, the nearby tourist locations.

The Golfo Paradiso includes both Recco (a small town of 10000 inhabitants) and Camogli, where from 20th to 22th February 2026 we will organize again the Dragonara Festival, which was a great success in 2025.
Recco is 30 minutes by car from Portofino, an hour by train from Cinque Terre, 25 minutes by train from the center of Genoa, a city by the sea, rich in history and palaces.
In Recco, you have to try a local specialty, the focaccia di Recco with cheese, follow the preparation here!

If you plan to come, write to me to see if I can help you with accommodation.
I'm sorry there are so many miles between us and you...
