Jaiveer Mahendru wins 4th Pinnacle Rapid Rating Open 2025

FM Jaiveer Mahendru, IM Suyog Wagh and IM Anuj Shrivatri scored 8/9 each at 4th Pinnacle Rapid Rating Open 2025. Jaiveer won the tournament on tie-breaks, Suyog and Anuj secured second and third place respectively. Only Anuj remained undefeated among them. The total prize fund was ₹400000. The top three prizes were ₹50000, ₹35000 and ₹20000 along with a huge trophy each. The one-day nine-round Rapid rating tournament was organized by Pinnacle Chess Events at Korum Mall in Thane, Maharashtra on 9th November 2025. IM Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh was the sole leader 7.5/8, heading into the final round. IM Srijit Paul, IM Suyog Wagh, FM Jaiveer Mahendru and IM Anuj Shrivatri were trailing by a half point at 7/8 each. Jaiveer defeated Nubairshah to become the champion. Suyog won against Paras Dilip Bhoir to secure second place. Anuj scored a full point over Srijit to finish third.

A total of 263 players including a GM and seven IMs took part from various parts of India, one from France, Ireland, Netherlands and Zambia each. The one-day nine round Rapid rating tournament was organized by Pinnacle Chess Events at Korum Mall in Thane, Maharashtra on 9th November 2025. The time control of the event was 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment per move.
